IrelandHow do I bring a claim to the Workplace Relations Commission?
You must submit your claim to the Workplace Relations Commission (WRC) within 6 months of the dispute arising, using the correct online form or paper form, and the WRC will assign an adjudicator to hear your case.
What the Law Says
The Workplace Relations Act 2015 sets out how employment disputes are handled in Ireland, including the process for bringing a claim to the Workplace Relations Commission.
Under the Workplace Relations Act 2015, most employment-related complaints — such as unfair dismissal, discrimination, pay disputes, or breach of employment rights — must be brought to the Workplace Relations Commission (WRC). The WRC is the independent statutory body responsible for resolving these disputes.
The law requires that a claim be submitted within strict time limits. Missing the deadline usually means the claim cannot be heard, unless exceptional circumstances apply.
There is no fee to make a claim to the WRC. Claims can be made online via the WRC’s online complaints system or by completing and posting a paper form.
Statutory TextA complaint under this Part shall be made to the Commission not later than 6 months after the date on which the cause of action accrued.
— Workplace Relations Act 2015, s. 41 — Time limit for complaints

Gather evidence (e.g., contract, payslips, emails, witness statements)
Submit your claim online at workplacerelations.ie or complete and post Form WP1 (for certain claims) within 6 months of the incident
Wait for the WRC to acknowledge your claim and assign an adjudicator
Attend the hearing (usually held remotely or in person) and present your case
